How to play Poker+

Poker+ is just like standard poker, but lets you play with more people.
Poker embodies many different variations of the same card game. Generally, dealer calls the poker game and clarifies the game rules before the cards are dealt. Most poker games are based off 5 or 7 Card Poker which is played as follows:

  1. Dealer requests Ante to play where each play puts a set amount of money into the pot.
  2. Cards are dealt to the players.
  3. Round or rounds of betting occurs. Player to the left of the dealer can Check (no bet) or Bet. Next player can Call (match Bet or Check), Raise (Bet more than previous players) or Fold (Quit). Betting round is completed when all players match the highest better and everyone moves the same amount of money to the pot.
  4. Player with the best 5 card hand wins the pot

Each card is ranked in the following order from lowest to highest:

Ace, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, Jack, Queen, King & Ace

Notice that Ace can usually be played as either a high or low card. When no players have a hand then the player with the highest ranked card wins.

Classic poker has only 9 possible hands; Poker+ has added the “5 of a Kind” just below the top poker hand – the “Royal Flush.”

Poker+ Game Variants

Poker+ Hold It – Much like Texas Hold ‘Em but more cards down and less community cards. Deal 2 cards face down to each player. Bet. Deal 3 cards face up in the middle of the table (the flop) and bet. Deal 1 card to each player down. Bet. Deal last card to each player down. Final bet. Best hand wins the pot.

Poker+ Low Chicago – Can be played with any poker game with face down cards (best with 2 down card games). Lowest spade down splits the pot with winning hand. If two players get the same low spade where one is a natural card and one is a Plus card (Ace, 2, 6, or 10) and they are also the lowest spades facing down, than highest hand wins half the pot and matching low spade card players get 25% of the pot each.

Poker+ Pass 2 & Draw – Deal 5 cards face down. Bet. Pass 2 card to the active player to your left; Player must pass 2 cards before looking at the 2 cards passed to them. Bet. Each Player can trade (Draw) 2 cards with dealer. Final round of betting. Best hand wins the pot.
